Araújo, Ulisses F.

Ulisses F. Araújo, Ph.D., is a full professor in the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He is president of the Pan-American Network of Problem-Based Learning and director of the Research Center on "New Pedagogical Architectures" at the University of São Paulo. As “Special Consultant” of the Brazilian Ministry of Education (2003-2009), he ran the program "Ethics and Citizenship: Constructing values in School and Society" that was implemented in more than 2,000 high schools throughout the country.

His research interests aim at improvement and innovation in basic and higher education through the articulation between Project and Problem-Based Learning, educational technologies and citizenship commitment.
