Fereday, Brendan

Brendan (bfereday@stanford.edu) is a PhD student in Developmental and Psychological Sciences at Stanford University. Broadly, he cares about the social and psychological forces that bring people together. His research interests lie at the intersection of developmental psychology, data science, and normative theory, specifically investigating how identity and a sense of purpose contribute to moral judgments, decision making, intellectual humility, and agency. Prior to Stanford, Brendan was a research assistant at the Agency by Design initiative within Harvard’s Project Zero lab and a teacher for several years in Santa Barbara, CA. He received a BA in History from Pepperdine University and an M.Ed from Harvard University in Human Development and Psychology.
